Newspapers are just copying (Ahh! word to word)…
Posted by Sandeep Jain on March 6, 2007
This post is to discuss that the similarity(word to word) of the content with “zero opinion and with zero additional information” in two different newspaper (owned by two different company) appropriate?
Let me start with showing you two different snippets from the technology section of the two different newspapers published for same day(6th March 2007) … (Both are from the newspaper copy distributed in mumbai)

Click on image to get enlarged view.
The blue mark at the left and right top side of the images shows the date of publish for both the newspapers which seems to be same, along with the newspaper name.
The green mark shows the similarity of the image, that both have used to illustrate there contents, is it coincidence that they both got same picture?.
The red mark highlights the content (almost every para.) , this too is same, are the editor same? oh! they may be the best friend.
The above snipped news is about the discovery of how the human mind can be read, done by German scientists.
Being a citizen of India, I would like to say that, if the contents are same (i.e. each and every word, just like that they have mugged by and then started writing the article for the paper), images are same(it’s ok, images can be same), dates of publishing is same, then why two different papers? The same trend is being followed by so many days by both the newspapers. Oh! that’s there personal matter, so you don’t get fooled, buy just one newspaper.
For more reference and detail look, you can either buy the copy of “DNA (Daily News Analysis)” and “Times of India” of dated 6th March 2007 or wait till I scan or get more images describing this.

It can be the case that content provider for both the paper are same, but then why two different papers?, Come on! lets forget this, it was just my personal view.
Note: It just my personal view.
What do you think about this?

This is nothing see if you can find New York Times Sept 11
and Times of India same article printed
Bottom line all newspaper collect news form open journalist and print them and that is why 2 of them look alike
(There are many jornalist writing privately and then they sell it to regular newspaper- In mumbai you can find few in chira bazar and kalbadevi)

Hi! friend, the crack behind writing this article was to say that if same article is to be printed then why two newspaper, the case of New York Times and Times Of India is ok, as they both are printed in different countries.
But what’s the use of having same news in two newspapers of same city that too explained in same format (word to word)…I think it is waste…
