The early 20th century America was run by the Mafioso—The Italian Mafia.This is a Fictional tale of the rise,fall and then an ultimate Victory over the entire Crime -Syndicate of New-York city.

Its almost 1945,New York City. Don Vito Corleone(Marlon Brando) is the ageing Patriarch of the Corleone Family….the Corleone Gang.He runs his illegitimate Businesses of gambling,casinos,black-markets through the Genco-Puro Olive Oil Company.He has five children Santino ‘Sonny’(James Caan) ,Freddric ‘Freddo’(John Gazale) ,Adopted Son Tom Hagen (Robert Duvall) ,Micheal (Al Pacino)and The daughter Connie(Talie Shire) .

When Don Vito’s Godson —The Famous Singer Johnny Fontane is in need and a particular Film Producer wont help(Jack Waltz) he wakes up one day to find his beloved Horse’s Head on his bed. Some punks ,beat up the daughter of a friend (Amerigo Bonasera) of the Don. They are beaten up mercilessly by some unidentified men(scene not in the movie).When a particular baker friend needs some help with the modification of immigration laws Don Corleone gets it done from his contacts in the Government by passing a new bill.This is the extent of the Godfather’s reach and power.But every man has ONE DESTINY …..so says Don Corleone….even he has one.When he refuses to do business with a Narcotics man Virgil ‘The Turk’ Solllozo he is gunned down by some hitmen in broad-daylight.

The Godfather survives the hit and Sonny takes charge of the matters.He goes aggresive aginst the other Famlies(Read: Gangs).Sollozo calls for a peacful -meeting…appeal for truce….Micheal meets him….and bids him goodbye……he ends up killing Sollozo and his Bodygaurd Police Cpt Mc-Klucksey.

Micheal goes to Sicily hidding from the cops and the rival Families.Sonny operates Things with his Fist.His hot temper leads to his down fall….he is gunned down by the Tattaglia-Barzini Men .Distraught,the Godather calls for peace-talks.He arranges for the safe return of Micheal from Sicily.

The Godfather dies of a heart-attack.

Micheal the new Don arranges for a final climax .The Final Baptism(of Connie’s Son) Sequence involves a bloody victory over the entire NewYork Crime Syndicate.The Corleone Family Becomes unchallegeable once again.

4) This movie proved to be a huge success for James Caan,Robert Duvall and especially Al Pacino ,who went on to become one of the Best Actors ever.
